A-League 2020, Melbourne Victory: Carlos Salvachua quits to return to Europe

Melbourne Victory has gone through its second coach of the season, announcing that Carlos Salvachua had decided to return to Europe after less than five months in charge.

Salvachua stepped up into a head coaching role in January following the sacking of Marco Kurz after just 13 games in charge.

But in a statement released on Saturday, Victory said the 47-year-old told the club last week that he wanted to continue his career in Europe and to be closer to his extended family in Spain.
