Whether it be between teammates or drivers from different stables, Formula 1 produces tension between competitors like few other sports can.

With so much at stake, be it a world championship or scrounging for the final points place in a race, many drivers have resorted to dirty tactics and mind games in order to one-up their rivals.

Across all decades in the sport’s 70-year history, several drivers have forced teams to draw battle lines, while others have seen relationships completely deteriorate in the ruthless pursuit of glory.

Formula 1 news: F1 2020 calendar, how many F1 races make a championship, F1 schedule 2020

Published

on

Formula 1 is hinging on two key rules in order to see the 2020 season recorded as a world championship.

A question mark remains over when the 2020 season will commence due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, with six races postponed and two cancelled. June’s Canada race looms as the earliest the season can start, although border and travel restrictions, among other restrictions, will need to be lifted in order for racing to resume.

The opening eight races, from March’s Australian Grand Prix to June’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix, have been called off. If they all fail to retake their places in the 2020 season, that leaves 14 races remaining should the schedule be completed as normal from Canada.
