A move to Ferrari seems unlikely for Lewis Hamilton after the Italian powerhouse team locked in Charles Leclerc long term, says Karun Chandhok.

The Hamilton-to-Ferrari story soaked up attention as the 2019 season wound down, with the Briton sealing a sixth world title.

In seven seasons with Mercedes, veteran 35-year-old Hamilton claimed five world titles as he continues to rule the sport with an iron fist.

The 2020 F1 season will be historic for many reasons, few more so than it being the 70th anniversary season and the longest ever at 22 races.

The 2010s were centred on Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel being the two defining drivers of the decade, taking with them Mercedes and Red Bull respectively to the record books.

Motorsport: 2020 Dakar Rally, cars stage 9, Carlos Sainz Dakar

Frenchman Stephane Peterhansel edged defending champion Nasser Al-Attiyah by just 15 seconds to win stage nine of the Dakar Rally on Tuesday as pressure mounted on overall leader Carlos Sainz.

Nicknamed ‘Mr. Dakar’ for his 13 previous Dakar victories (seven in a car and six on a bike), Mini driver Peterhansel clocked 3hr 08min 31 sec on the 410km special of the mammoth 886km stage.

It was his third stage win of this Dakar, being held for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
