SANCHO ON THE GO?
Borussia Dortmund have made Jadon Sancho available to buy as early as January after a breakdown in relationship with the player, according to The Independent, with England’s biggest clubs all circling.
The player was keen to leave at the end of the season with the club reluctant but willing participants, but now they are actively looking to move the player on after he turned up late to a team meeting and returning back from the international break late.
They report Manchester United made a bid for the forward over the last transfer window but were given a flat no, but could be tempted to bid again now that the player’s situation has changed.
Liverpool are also keeping a close eye on the player while his former club Manchester City have also been asked to be kept in the loop given the injury and likely departure of Leroy Sane.
Real Madrid are another potential suitor but Dortmund will not sell for less than £100m ($191m).
UNITED COOL OFF ON JUVE REJECT
One player than won’t be making his way to Old Trafford in January however is Mario Mandzukic, according to The Athletic.
The 33-year-old was set to move to Manchester United on deadline day but the two clubs ran out of time and as a result he was forced to stay in Turin.
He is yet to feature for Juve this season but remained on United’s radar as they explored attacking options for January.
However, the likelihood of him now making the move has more or less ended, they report, over concerns of his lack of fitness given how little he has played this season. They are looking for a player who is ready to go from the offset.
JOSE’S FIRST SPURS SIGNING?
Jose Mourinho insisted he was already happy with the squad he had inherited but according to the Daily Mail, he knows the first player he wants to sign to strengthen it.
The report that Bruno Fernandes is at the top of his list and that if £60m ($114.5m) arrives he will be allowed to leave Sporting Lisbon, despite having only this week signed a new deal to up his release clause to £85m ($162.2m).
Fernandes would be a direct replacement for the soon to be leaving Christian Eriksen as the Dane enters the last six months of his deal at Tottenham and is allowed to sign a pre-contract agreement with another non-English club.
The 25-year-old was also heavily linked with Manchester United, but it is understood he is not on Solskjaer’s list of priorities.
ARSENAL WANT REAL’S FORGOTTEN MAN
According to reports from Spain, the Gunners are eyeing up a move for the out-of-favour James Rodriguez for around £35m ($66.8m).
The way Arsenal’s structure is set with a director of football, Unai Emery’s future will have little bearing on transfers although he or the new manager will have a still have a say in the discussions.
However, James is reluctant to head to the Emirates and would rather move to Inter Milan or PSG if he is unable to regain manager Zinedine Zidane’s trust and confidence again.
