F1, Japanese Grand Prix 2019 LIVE: Results, race, qualifying, timings, timesheet, Daniel Ricciardo, crash, video, watch, stream

Welcome to FOX SPORTS’ live coverage of the Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka Circuit.

The typhoon causing chaos across Japan and cancelling a number of Rugby World Cup matches also hit Suzuka, causing Saturday’s qualifying session to be postponed to just hours before the official race.

Mercedes can clinch the constructors’ championship this weekend, while Lewis Hamilton can knock all of his rivals out of title contention – except for teammate Valtteri Bottas, who will still be in with a chance come the end of the race.

With 104 points still on offer in the four races after Japan, Leclerc will need to outscore Hamilton by four points and Max Verstappen will need to take seven points out of the Englishman, while Sebastian Vettel requires a 25-point swing in Sunday’s race.

But Bottas would still be in the hunt even if he retired and Hamilton took the maximum 26 points for win and fastest lap.

Bathurst 1000, V8 Supercars 2019: Tim Slade, crash, updates, timings, timesheet, results, video, watch

It was one lap and one crash at the 2019 Bathurst 1000 as Tim Slade had an unwanted meeting with the wall, all but ruling him out of the following 160 laps of racing on the mountain.

After a long delay to the start of the race following a problem with the wildcard entry of the Kostecki brothers on the warm-up lap, the race finally got underway – albeit only for a brief moment.

No sooner had Scott McLaughlin pulled ahead of Michael Caruso and Chaz Mostert going into the first turn, had Slade found himself in the fence at The Cutting.
